| Home Computing Solutions, Inc (techinstall.net) Service Agreement Claim#_____________
In order to keep your experience with Home Computing Solutions, Inc. (techinstall.net) a positive one, we ask that you read this agreement carefully and sign it so that there will be no misunderstandings.
1. DATA: It is YOUR responsibility to have all of your data backed up and we (Home Computing Solutions, Inc. (techinstall.net)assume that you have done so prior to service on your computer. We will do everything in our power to preserve the data in your computer but occasionally, your data may need to be moved, removed or erased in order to repair your computer. Accidental data loss may occur. Home Computing Solutions, Inc. (techinstall.net) is not responsible for any loss of data. 2. In order to repair your computer, the following things need to happen: A) The symptoms MUST be listed on the reverse side of this page. If you do not tell us what is wrong with your computer, we cannot fix it B) We must be able to reproduce the problem that you are experiencing. If we cannot see the problem, we cannot fix it. 3. The act of disconnecting, transporting and otherwise disturbing your computer or its components can have damaging consequences. Although we will make a concerted effort to be extremely gentle with your equipment, Home Computing Solutions, Inc. (techinstall.net) is not responsible for damage incurred during the transport of your computer or any of its components. 4. Home Computing Solutions, Inc. (techinstall.net) is not responsible for loss or damage of any accessories not listed under “LIST ALL ACCESSORIES LEFT” on the reverse side of this agreement. Accessories include, but are not limited to: Monitors, Mice, keyboards, External Drives (ZIP, CD Burners, Hard Drives, etc), cables (USB, FireWire, Ethernet, Phone or Power Cables), Adapters (VGA, SCSI or any other internal or external cards), Networking Equipment (Hubs, Switches and Routers), Cases, Handles and sleeves. Basically, if you don’t list it, don’t expect it back. 5. Turnaround time for your computer can vary depending on what is wrong with is and if parts need to be ordered. We will give you an estimate after taking a look at your computer and will make every effort to get your computer back to you, or repaired as soon as possible. No absolutes can be given or guaranteed. Home Computing Solutions (techinstall.net) is not responsible or liable for any lost work or lost income as a result of waiting for repairs of your computer. 6. There is NO warranty on software repairs. We make sure all repairs have been completed when the computer is deemed repaired at our visit or when we bring it back to you. After that time, you are free to install software and change configurations. If your problem re-occurs, a new service repair order must be completed to request new repairs. 7. Most hardware parts have manufacturer’s warranties. These warranties are honored by the manufacturer only, and not Home Computing Solutions, Inc (techinstall.net). Other parts have a 30 day warranty through Home Computing Solutions, Inc (techinstall.net). Home Computing Solutions, Inc (techinstall.net) warranties begin at the date of installation. Home Computing Solutions, Inc (techinstall.net) cannot be held liable for parts damaged by the customer or by other parts in their computer (for example, the power supply). 8. When your repairs and or upgrades are completed and we are in possession of your computer, we will attempt to contact you, at the phone number listed on this service request form. We will make every effort to contact you for a period of five (5) business days. If we are unable to contact you, and if no prior arrangements have been made, you will be charged a storage fee of $10.00 per day (weekends included). When labor, parts and storage fees exceed the fair market value of your computer, your computer will become the property of Home Computing Solutions, Inc (techinstall.net). You will however, at that time and date, be given the opportunity to buy your computer back for the total amount, including the storage fees (usually a period of five weeks from the repair date. 9. REPAIR FEES: Repair is performed at the rate of $60.00 per hour. Priority service is an additional $30.00 per hour. The minimum labor fee is $50.00. By signing this agreement/contract, you are authorizing (1) hour of labor from time of first contact. If the repair requested will cost more than one hour of labor, we will call you with the details for an approval. Any estimate given is simply an estimate, not a guarantee of final cost to you. Labor is charged based on the amount of time Home Computing Solutions, Inc (techinstall.net) spends with you and your computer.
IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND AFTER APPROVING A REPAIR, YOU MAY STILL BE LIABLE FOR THE COST OF THE REPAIR.
WE TAKE EXTREME CARE IN THE HANDLING OF YOUR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT; HOWEVER, Home Computing Solutions, Inc (techinstall.net) IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE YOUR EQUIPMENT IS IN OUR CARE.
